DIVISION X - COMPACT TRACTOR PULLING CONTEST

RULES

1. Please read general rules and regulations beginning on page 12.

2. Contest is open to rubber wheel type stock compact tractors, not homemade.

3. An entry fee of $7.00 will be charged at time of weigh-in for each tractor.

4. Each driver is allowed only one tractor per class.

5. Minimum age of drivers will be 10 years old, and will be able to control the tractor on their

own. Drivers under the age of 18 age shall have a written consent form from parent or guardian

before weigh-in.

6. Horsepower will be determined by model of tractor and engine. Tractor and engine with no

model number attached will NOT be allowed to pull.

7. Winner will be determined by furthest distance pulled.

8. Drawbar or point of pull shall not exceed 12" at any time. Rigid drawbar shall be used

and each contestant will furnish his/her own clevis.

9. Rear tire size not to exceed 26x12x12, unless originally equipped with larger size tires.

No dual wheels allowed.

10. First puller in each class can accept or reject first pull. If you elect to reject pull, you will drop three

(3) spots and re-pull. The second (2nd) pull will be your official pull.

11. Only the driver will be allowed on the tractor; he/she must stay at the controls and in the seat

while the tractor is pulling. He/she must keep at least one (1) hand on the steering wheel while the

tractor is moving.

12. The committee in charge reserves the right to accept or reject any or all entries.

13. All tractors will be equipped with an anti-rollover device capable of supporting the weight of

the tractor and driver.

14. Class numbers 3050, 3051, and 3052 are for uncut turf tires only. (New rule)

15. Class number 3053 is for any rubber tire cut or uncut, turf or bar tires. (New rule)

16. Tractors must be weighed in between 7:30 am and 9:00 am, on the day of the pull.

17. There is a five minute limit for repairs or adjustments.

18. The Chelsea Community Fair Board WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ACCIDENTS OR

DAMAGES TO DRIVERS, TRACTORS OR SPECTATORS Resulting from the contest.

DIVISION X - COMPACT TRACTOR PULLING CONTEST (Percentage Pull)



RULES

1. Please read general rules and regulations beginning on page 12.

2. An entry fee of $7.00 will be charged at the time of weigh-in for each tractor.

3. Top of drawbar is not to exceed 10 inches from the ground.

4. Length of pull will be 6 feet.

5. Each driver will be allowed two attempts to pull the bolt and weights the full length of 6 feet.

6. Full length of 6 feet must be made on any haul in 30 seconds or less on each try.

7. Timer will start and driver will stop for whistle or flag only.

8. Winners will be figured on percentage by weight of tractor to load pulled.

9. All tractors will be numbered.

10. After each successful haul, drivers will return to numerical order in line.

11. After unsuccessful pull, drivers will receive their second try immediately before more weights

are added to the boat.

12. Driver shall remain in contact with tractor seat at all times with one hand on steering wheel.

13. There is a five minute limit for repairs or adjustments.

14. Stock garden tractors only.

15. No modified allowed only to be pulled against another modified.

16. Age of driver will be 10 years or over. Any driver under 16 years must have signed release by

parent or guardian.

17. Judges decision to be final on all matters, including safety.

18. Weight added will be approximately 100 pounds each time up to 500 pounds per tractor.

Thereafter, 200 pounds will be added to the boat each time.

19. One tractor, one driver.

20. No jerking permitted.

21. Each tractor must have wheely bar for safety.

22. All starts must be from a tight hitch.

23. No dual tires or loose weight.

24. Tractors must stay within boundary lines.

25. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed on the Fairgrounds.

26. No traction compound allowed.
