RULES

1. Please read general rules and regulations beginning on page 12.

2. Exhibitors MUST provide the department with their Social Security Number.

3. All birds will be checked for disease when they are entered. All birds must also be pullorum-typhoid

tested. Sick birds will be sent home.

4. All entries must be shown as pairs, consisting of one male and one female. Exhibitors may enter no

more than 2 pair of birds per class.

5. Entry fee is $1.00 per pen. Pre-entry forms need to be received by August 17, 2006.

6. Mail all entries to: Channon Mason, 5395 M-106, Stockbridge, Michigan, 49285.

Make all checks and money orders payable to Chelsea Community Fair.

7. Birds may be cooped on Monday, August 21. between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

8. All birds will be judged on Tuesday, August 22 starting at 11:00 a.m. All birds will be judged

according to the Standard of Perfection.

9. We will take every possible precaution to insure health and safety of birds; however, Chelsea

Community Fair will not be responsible for loss of stock on exhibit at the Fair.

10 . ALL EXHIBITS must remain on display until 8:00 A.M. on Sunday, August 27.

Please pick up exhibits between 8:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. on Sunday, August 27.

Superintendents cannot be held responsible for poultry left after 9:00 am.

11. Feed and water will be provided by Chelsea Community Fair for exhibitors to feed their poultry.

12. Production Pens will consist of three females, 5 months to 1 year old.

13. Meat pens will consist of three birds of the same sex.

Learning Objective: Demonstrate through their project what they have learned raising poultry
